As chair of the UMBC ArtWeek 2009 committee, I worked with The Commons Arts Program, commonvision, the Center for Art, Design, and Visual Culture, student volunteers and dedicated staff members to conceptualize, organize, market, curate, and eventually host UMBC ArtWeek 2009, a week of arts and arts-related events that ran from March 2nd-8th, at UMBC.
UMBC ArtWeek 2009 included hands-on craft demonstrations, lectures and discussions, a student art showcase (and film screening), musical and theatrical performances, gallery tours, and more. Below are photographs from some of the events that took place.
