Portraits of a Modest Man: A Celebration of Twenty Years of Adam J. Kurtz was a month-long exhibition in The Mezzanine Gallery in the UMBC Commons student union building that featured sixteen works that spanned multiple media (photography, illustration, etc) and were united by their subject matter... me.

Portraits was meant as a tongue-in-cheek experiment, and also an opportunity to push the limits of what exactly I could get away with as an undergraduate student. Ultimately, the project was met with generally positive reactions, and was a success both for me and for the participating artists.

Participating Artists: Alison Grissinger, Amanda Bennett, Andy Hsu, Brittany Wight, Christina Danaher, Danny Brito, Emily Jenkins, Jenna Ullrich, Kristin Tata, Laura Gardiner, Lauren Alford, Maxwell Hathaway, Paul-William deSilva, Tazuko Sugajima, and Willie Archer.
